History

Since its formation in 1994 the Manacare Foundation has provided help and support for those most in need, particularly children and elderly in countries around the world.

At times responding to emergencies,

Manacare has also set up and manages longer -term self-sustaining projects and centres.

The organisation, formed by Joy Butler Markham, in 1994, initially with the help of a private donation, continues to address the needs of those individuals most neglected by society or state, especially in the field of disability.
